Corporate Culture to bet on Inclusion

36 multinational and Colombian companies discussed best practices and challenges to expand job opportunities to diverse groups and generate inclusive workspaces, where well-being, productivity and sustainability of human talent is promoted.
“With these spaces we seek to motivate, inspire and generate capacities in private sector companies, so that they consolidate as agents of social change and promote better practices of diversity, equity and inclusion, not as a philanthropic action, nor as corporate responsibility, but rather as the axis of its sustainability strategy, which translates into benefits in terms of reputations, productivity, competitiveness, profitability, innovation and attracting and retaining the best talent,” said Carolina Blackburn Cardona, Executive Director of the ACDI/VOCA LA Foundation.
The ACDI/VOCA LA Foundation with its program to act in diversity, equality and inclusion, INclusiónes, and the Swedish Workplace Programme – SWP, organised the Inclusive Companies -Beyond Diversity meeting.

Through dialogue, the participants shared and defined actions to face the challenges that, at all organizational levels, implies having more diverse teams.

“The session showed the importance of the decent work agenda in the development of companies and their employees. We cannot talk about decent work and cooperation unless everyone has a seat at the table.

We need to actively seek conversations and act to drive real change while accepting and coming to terms with our differences,” said Maria Angelica Castilla, SWP Regional Coordinator.

Within the framework of INclusiones, a program of ACDI/VOCA and the ACDI/VOCA LA Foundation for acting in diversity, equality and inclusion, it seeks to raise awareness among private and public sector organizations about the importance of DEI and accompany them in the adoption of labour inclusion practices and generating safe spaces for all people.
