Young people participate in the Nestlé Pacific Alliance Meeting

“We want to contribute to the training of professionals, capable of responding to any situation in a creative and innovative way. At Nestle (…) we create spaces for stakeholders at all levels to contribute ideas and solutions to the challenges facing the world”, said Julieta Loaiza, Vice President of Corporate Affairs in Mexico.
In October 2022, the 7th Youth Meeting of the Pacific Alliance was held in Mexico, under the theme CREATORS of change. Since 2015, this initiative has benefited has than 822,000 young people with vocational guidance and training to access decent employment.

On this occasion, the Meeting sought out to contribute to the integration, dialogue and exchange of experience of young people from Colombia, Chile, Mexico and Peru to increase job placement opportunities and contribute to competitiveness in areas such as agribusiness, entrepreneurship, dual training and virtual employment.

From Colombia, participated Juan David Mena, Viviana Bernal and Jhon Freddy Joval, young people from the Agri-entrepreneurs and Resilient Youth project, participated for Colombia, within the framework of the alliance between Nestle, USAID, ACDI/VOCA and the ACDI/VOCA LA Foundation. During their interventions, they told how entrepreneurship and employment opportunities in rural areas are essential for generational renewal, their permanence in the territories and the consolidation of their life projects.
